Kirkpatrick Veterinary Hospital was established by Dan Kirkpatrick, D.V.M. in its present location in 1953. At that time, Page Street was a dirt road on the outskirts of Orlando. Our city and our practice have flourished in the subsequent years of growth and progress. Our hospital has been a respected training ground for some of the most outstanding veterinarians in Orange County and beyond. Dr. Juan Patino joined the staff in 1993. He bought the practice in 1998. Since his ownership, the hospital has taken steps toward advancement of newer ideas and concepts.

Treatment Room

This is a picture of our treament room. This is where we prepare your pet for surgery, obtain blood samples for certain tests, including heartworm, glucose and general profiles. When we take your pet to the back, this is where we take them.
In House Laboratory

We have the capability to perform in house laboratory testing, including CBC's, chemistry profiles, urinalysis, glucose monitoring and much more. If you look to the right of this picture, you can see part of our dental equipment we use the clean your pets teeth.
Radiology

This is just one view of our radiology room. We have one the finest x-ray machines to assist us in getting the perfect picture. We have a digital processor which displays very clear images. We do OFA certification, contrast studies and many other procedures relating to x-rays. Please feel free to contact us for your x-ray needs.
Surgery

This is just one view of our surgery room. In this room is where we perform most of the surgeries, including spays, neuters, tumor removals and exploratory surgery. We use some of the finest equipment including an apnea monitor, pulse oximeter and isoflurane (gas anesthesia). We can perform many non-routine surgeries. This includes ear hematoma, abscess and hernia repairs, as well as many other procedures. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have regarding your pets needs.
Laser Machine

One of our most recent upgrades to this facility has been the purchase of a laser machine. This machine assists us in surgery and expedites recovery times for certain surgeries. Please ask us about it when your pet needs to have surgery.
Dental Scaling

Spanky is receiving a dental scaling. We believe in preventative oral and dental care. Ask us about our recommendations for your pet.
Boarding Facilities

We always treat your pet as part of our family, especially while boarding. We understand that is it sometimes difficult to leave your pet behind and appreciate your trust and confidence in us. We monitor their health and well-being daily. Your pet is safe with us. We do require that all vaccinations are current (within the past year), for the health and safety of the boarding facility. Feel free to bring bedding, toys or any other reminders from home. We feed Hill's Science Diet, however if your pet is on a special diet or just prefers their own food, please bring it with them.
